PD James says the "real writing gets done in the rewriting" and that is so true. My novel coming out later this month was actually the second of the series I'd written. And now the first will become the second. Along the way, I learned about what makes a good novel and how to polish and take critiques in a useful way. Writing is hard work! Nina, I totally agree.
